Accessibility of the website

Please note: this is an English translation provided for convenience. The Polish version is the legally binding one, and if there is any difference between the two, the Polish version prevails. This translation is not legal advice.
We want everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use a screen reader, navigate with the keyboard alone, enlarge the text or have difficulty telling colours apart. Below we describe what we have done, what we have checked and what we have not yet done.
What we have done
- The whole website can be operated with the keyboard: the menu, the form and the links. At the start of every page there is a "Skip to content" link.
- Regular text has a contrast of at least 4.5:1 against the background, and large text at least 3:1.
- The website zooms correctly. At a screen width of 320 pixels you do not need to scroll horizontally.
- Decorative elements are hidden from screen readers. Buttons and links have understandable names.
- The form has labelled fields, and optional fields are marked "optional". You can fill it in with the keyboard alone. JavaScript must be switched on to send the form, because it checks that you are not a bot (a simple addition question). If you cannot use it, please write to us by ordinary e-mail.
- A background video plays at the top of the page, without sound. You can stop it with the "Pause" button, and if you have reduced motion enabled in your system, the video does not start on its own. The menu hides when you scroll down and returns when you scroll up. Otherwise nothing flashes, and the website does not require an account.
How we checked it
We used the automated tool axe-core (WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 level AA rules and best practices) on the home page. We also manually checked scrolling at a small screen width and the contrast of the texts.
What we have not done yet
- We have not tested the website with screen readers (such as NVDA or VoiceOver) or with the involvement of people with disabilities. Automated tools catch only some of the problems, so we cannot guarantee full compliance.
- The videos of our projects (Vimeo) do not yet have subtitles or a text description. If you need a description of a specific video, write to us and we will prepare it.
Report a barrier
If anything on the website is inaccessible to you, write to wiktoria@vidsdeal.pl with the subject "Website accessibility" or call: +48 795 255 063. Give the address of the page, describe the problem and tell us which device or program you use. We usually reply on the same working day.
If you cannot read some content, we will send it in another form: as plain text, an e-mail message, or we will relay it by phone.
